Mikhail is a data warehousing veteran. Since the late 70s, he has been a data developer. In 2000, he began to lead data systems, data mining, and data warehouse teams at companies such as Yahoo and Myspace.

When he started at Viant, Mikhail led the migration of petabytes-sized data warehouse to Google Cloud. Currently, with his team, they focus on self-serve/productivity tools for BigQuery / Google Cloud Platform.

Mikhail loves sharing his knowledge and experiences with others. He can often be found answering questions on Stack Overflow, where he is a major contributor for BigQuery with more than 5,000 questions answered making him the top Google BigQuery responder for the last few years.
