The websites you visit work with online advertising companies to provide you with advertising that is as relevant and useful as possible. Some of the online ads you are served may be based on the content of the web page you’re visiting. Other advertising may be interest-based, which is customized through predictions about your interests generated from data collected over time from your visits to other websites (also known as behavioral advertising).
As a member company participating in the DAA program, Viant adheres to the DAA’s Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising (“DAA Principles”).
The participating trade associations of the DAA have created the Advertising Option Icon, which is a specific symbol intended to enrich the consumer online experience by informing consumers about data collection and use practices.
Viant, and other companies that adhere to the DAA Principles, will use the Advertising Option icon on advertisements where data is collected and used for interest-based advertising. The Advertising Option Icon will normally be placed at the top right of each online advertisement and will be labeled with the phrase “Ad Choices.” The icon will link to a disclosure statement regarding the data collection and use practices associated with that ad and an easy-to-use consumer choice option.
